Description
Street cleaning. 2 months in a row there's been a car on top of this drain. 2 months in a row it didn't get cleaned. 2 months in a row the car didn't get a ticket. The drain was fully clogged and flooded a few weeks ago and I had to clean it out myself. The new pilot is not working!

My sneaking suspicion is that this new "street cleaning scheme" was enacted because the city council and traffic department knew that they had taken more spaces away from most residential neighborhoods so as to make it impossible for everyone to move their vehicles, unless they were willing to park many many more blocks away. So under the name of "equity" they abolished towing. The initial scheme involved using gas powered leaf blowers to clean around parked vehicles, so ironic that it was stopped quickly. Now, no manual cleaning is happening around cars that do not move for street cleaning days so the catch basins are clogged like never before and we have lots more flooding with heavy rains - as we all saw yesterday.
